Setting up Hyper-V

25 Dec

Install via service.
Create virtual switch.
reboot
statically assign ip to virtual switch dedicated link to 2nd nic.

Your server’s NIC1 can be 192.168.0.11
Your server’s (NIC2) is used by HyperV (not configurable).

Your virtual switch is (by default) setup as a dynamic IP.

all vm’s should address any network shares on .11 via the switch on .12.

For example; in linux fstab would be //192.168.0.12/share/

Do not use .11
